WHO ARE WE?
Our agency was created in 1997, after the election of our new president, who wishes to open his country to the outside world. Following his proposition, the United Nations have chosen the dialogue between civilisations as the theme for the year 2001. This event has given its name to our agency, "2001".
After 20 years of tension, this dialogue is a promise of enriching exchanges between two worlds: Orient and Occident. Our agency "2001"is happy about this opening and its contribution to the discovery of human and cultural tresors of Iran. We have chosen the slogan "Rediscovering Ancient Persia's serenity".
Since the 1987 revolution and after 8 years of war against Iraq, Iran resumes with its 3000 years of history and opens its doors to travelers and tourists.
"2001" is a private agency, founded by Ms Azam Ayoubian, who is also its director. This young and dynamic woman of 38 speaks English, French and . She has worked for many years as a travel guide.
"2001" proposes organised tours throughout the whole of Iran and particularly to the tourists favourite destinations: Isfahan and Persepolis.
The small size of our agency permits great flexibility in organising inivitual an group travel projects. These can be aimed at culture for people interested in history and ancient monuments, and also at discovering people and landscapes, or both....
The agency "2001" works with all three internal Iranian airlines, as well as with the whole rapidly expanding hotel sector.
